Hi just thought I'd get your opinions. Very excited to be ordering my first vv/vw next week and I intend to have a play around with a dripper. I'm on a flavour hunt having been vaping on an ego with clearo's and a vivi nova for the past month.
I've done a fair bit of reading about it and the various pros for each and even seen a few topics regarding the same question. That said, I'd just like to get your thoughts. Looking at an Igo l or w and will probably be sticking with the MVP for the foreseeable (famous last words! )

The igo-w can be single or dual coiled so both of best worlds. Remember that a dual coil will half the ohms, so need bigger coils to compensate. 2 x 2ohms coils = 1ohm

Thanks for the quick replies. There's about a quids difference between the two on stealthvape and I wondered if it was worth leaning towards the w for greater options. Would I be limited with dual coils given the mvp's volt/watt limits?

No, is the simple answer.
I don't know what the lower firing limit is on an mvp, I would assume about 1.3 ohms.
So with the igo-w, a single coil setup would need 1 coil of 1.3 ohm or above. To dual coil it, you would need at least 2 x 2.6 ohm coils, because when you put them in together you end up with half the ohms, so 1.3 ohms.
I use 0.25 kanthal on mine, (with a 2.4mm drill bit/screwdriver,) 5 turns gives me 1.5ohms for a single coil. When dual coiling I use 9 turns on each coil, that gives me 2.8 ohms x 2 = 1.4ohm.

Nice one that gives me a bit more confidence for the future. I'll be sticking to single coils to begin with but it's nice to know the options there when I want to.
From what I read the screw posts are also supposed to be bit more beginner-friendly on the w. Roll on pay day!

Thanks for the replies everyone.

I've got large hands, and the screws are small. So I use a towel to work on. Then if I drop one it isn't going to run away.
Learnt that one the hard way.
