As even good nicotine smells of dog piss, it's probably OK. If you've stored it correctly, airtight container, in a dark, cool place, it will be OK for 2 years from date of purchase.

I've read on here that pg nic base should be ok upto 10 years if kept in the freezer.

I've got a totally unproved and unsubstantiated theory that the reason nearly everything these days has, what seems to be, a standard 12 month shelf life, is that that's how long the plastic container can be expected to last before it starts leaching its plastic chemicals into it;s contents. Therefore if it seems alright it probably is but it wouldn't hurt to decant it into a glass dropper bottle while it still is alright.
