What's new

***phileas fogg*** now with 6mg and 12mg mtl juice samplers in stock

What is a Genny?? Slowly working on upgrading my kit. A new mod is gonna be my next purchase but I think it's gonna be a while away yet.

Hi
Top level it's a Genesis style atomiser, using mesh rather than cotton.

NexTiny, NextGen, In'ax to name a few of the newer models with a central pole. And some tanks that you would usually use cotton can work with mesh too.

If you can get your hands on a NexTiny or NextGen go for it. But very much for mouth to lung though I have heard a few direct inhale on some, but generally a restrictive airflow.

Ah ok. As impressive as that looks, that's just a wee bit too advanced for me.

LOL I upgraded from a mini nautilus and mini volt to the NexTiny (clone) and a mech mod. So went from coil's bought on amazon, to mesh and playing with wire. I have now learnt most people go cotton then mesh, but I guess I went a different route lol.

Once you taste the flavour, there is no going back and once you have the basics down its pretty easy! And I don't have to buy coils any more, mesh lasts for months, just dry burn (turn watts up to the coil burns off the crap). And rinse, then good to go :). Best thing ever I did, as was falling back into cigarettes, and this has kept me fully on the vaping path. DM if you want to know more, still learning lots but getting there.

Cheers! If I ever get the confidence to jump in I'll come knocking! The coil building stuff I reckon I could do because I'm quite good at putting things together and I like tinkering. It's just getting my head round all the safety stuff that puts me off.

Its actually, as far as vaping goes, fairly old school tech, and although it take a little patience ( OK a lot ) once you work out the critical bits of the process, and get a feel for it its fairly easy,

I spent days, literally days cursing my two ( and the RSM is a swine to learn on ). But once you figure it out its a ten - 15 min job from scratch, and the best bit is as already said, you can leave the build in for an age

@Rob and @juggles are both genuinely interested in converting the un-initiated to the world of the Genny, and not only have a wealth of experience and skill between them, but also a wealth of patience!

There are various threads around for Genny building, but its the best thing I did vaping wise for sure

I can see you guys costing me an arm and a leg in shiny new things the longer I've been in this forum haha ☺

I was concerned also, so got a decent mech as my first stage. Will be honest my first NextTiny was a clone, just researched which one to get.

I bought all the gear, the ohms meter, the tweezers and even a flamethrowerthingmygig that most people use in the kitchen lol (no gas stove and burnt fingers to pieces using lighters lol). I read all the posts around batteries and safety and asked a lot of very stupid questions lol.

My first attempt was a failed day, nearly all day lol. But got great advice from the like of @Jugg1es , @Rob and @dw1986 and the next day I got it right first time. Now, its walk in the park on the NexTiny, the central pole of these newer Gennys is the easy bit :) so now no turning back, new In'Ax comes out tomorrow and rumours of a new VapeWare Mod (makers of NexTiny and NextGen) are showing teaser pics of their next mod. Seriously for flavour, these are beasts.

Fully agree, and there are enough recent posts from my first attempts and asking questions about batteries, mech's etc too. As said DM if you want a chat, happy to share my experiences.

And sorry @pfvapes for turing this into a Genny thread although :p...
