No mate. They've got to be 14500's because they are li-ion 3.7V. Your Atty/carto won't fire on a AA. There is a seller on eBay who I have bought from before. Its not Torchy, who doesn't seem to have any protected 14500s at the moment. Here's the link:

Lowest I ever go with 14500 batteries is 1.6ohm, which is about 2.6 amps
