Problems with custard

I'm serious...every custard I've tried is lovely fresh. So I put it away for a few weeks and it's bleugh!! It goes all burnt tasting to me!

Told you...I'm probably just weird!!

My last batch was lovely after a week but left a bottle sat for a few weeks and it really wasn't as nice as I remember so have ditched it.

I find fresh custard has a sort of fizz on the exhale. All the premixed I've tried are like this, and my own. I've never heard this from anyone else so it must be just me.

Nope,24 hours does me.I found an ancient bottle from my first forays into DIY,almost 1 year old & was really excited opening it.Tasted like sweet vanilla and clogged up the wicks rapidly so was dry hit hell. These days,I kinda make on the fly. When I'm vaping mixes I made early in my DIY,I or Fraggle go mix up a few bottles.Aniseed+Lemon steeped a year is still nice, but I'm bored of fruits so busy chucking fruits with tobacco.Found out tonight that plain tobacco tastes divine but Fraggle/GF say it smells revolting, that my mates Kayfun clone has been filled with god knows what and despite boiling in water, stripping it down to nuts n bolts & boiling again, feeding it to the ultrasonic for 20 mins(water was too hot to get the bits out)the chimney & drip tip STILL smell like he's tried to vape old engine oil recycled from a diesel engine.YUCK!

Phew...glad to hear it's not just me!!

I'm with you on this Dakota. Once my custard gets > 3 weeks l'd give it away as it gets that burn, crème brulee, taste to it. This is why I never really liked digbys etc. This is also why I only make 30ml a time when I fancy some custard

Can't beat a well steeped custard in a Heron at the right ohms

I've tried vaping it fresh but never seems to taste right.
