Have never heard anything negative about DNA chip personally. Possibly the highest rated chips out there and Evolve provide excellent customer service if problems do arise by all accounts.

Never heard of it, never experienced it - I have 11 DNA devices currently and have had at least half a dozen more that I've passed on or sold to people. Somebody is telling you porkies...

5 DNA mods here and no issue... as with any mod there will be the occasional dud, but I think this is less likely with a DNA chip than some other makes.
You do see a few on fleabay as "for parts or not working" and the general issues tend to be broken USB ports and blown fuses, which for the most part can be put down to user error/abuse.

wish you can see the smile on my face right now :D

thats what i know but when i saw the post i become confused and more over i asked the same question in other forum and that was the answer from one person " DNA chips are notorious for dying suddenly. However Evolve will repair any chip failures and their service is very good. The Asmosdus V@ does not use a DNA chip. It is a great mod - I have two. My new favorite is the VO chip although the Hohmtech FSK chip is likely the best on the market." this the second or third one to tell me the same issue

There were issues with particular devices using DNA boards - However these were down to issues with the actual mod manufacturers damaging the boards rather than the DNA boards themselves (The early VTbox200 springs to mind). As I said I've got 12 (I re counted) - 6 DNA75's 1 DNA250, 5 DNA200's All of which are workig just fine. The DNA200's are the oldest ones and have been running pretty much every day in rotation for at least 12 months - Although since Christmas I've been running far more heavily on the DNA75's in my Sqounkers.

I'm an engineer by trade and deal with electronics everyday - virtually all board failures are sudden, a component failure usually is. I'd say that Evolv's failure rate is lower than average, they also have far better service than other manufacturers (Who won't repair boards at all) - If a DNA board dies then Evolv will fix it even if it's out of warranty (For a price of course) - Try getting Asmodus to do that!

In the end it comes down to personal preference - but faced with a choice between two mods built with diffferent chipsets but the same body - I'd pick the DNA every time...
