Hi. I have been reading the forum for a long time but just joined.

I quit smoking for 4 months and vaped 12mg E-liquid. I used to practically chain vape and really enjoyed it.

I want to go back to vaping but I'm finding 12mg too strong. As soon as I take a puff it hits my chest and I start coughing. I have tried 6mg which is fine but I won't be getting enough nicotine to quit.

How come I used a 12mg strength happily before and now it's too strong? I'm even finding the taste really strong .

I just want to get back to vaping!!

I use a Kanger Evod which I love and don't want to change this.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is it different liquid? Some flavours can be harsh, not just the nic. Or a different device?

hi and welome to the planet

the more info the better we can advise.
did you go back to smoking after the 4 months?
detoxing from cigs can take upto two weeks to clear the lungs and coughing is normal in the beginning. just one cig will put you back to the beginning of detoxing.
if your using the same kit is it with the same ohm coil that you used before and the same juice or a different juice with 12mg
what make of juice and where did you buy from as there are a lot of clones and fakes out there.

It is exactly the same device and E-liquid. I took to it like a duck to water first time round but this time it just isn't enjoyable at all.

I tried a few different liquids just in case that was the problem but they were worst.

The 12mg just seems so strong but I know 6mg isn't going to be enough.

How long have you been back vaping?

I would suggest giving it a week or two before changing anything, it's going to take a while for you to get used to it again.

How about 12mg nic salts eliquids? That way you'll get the nic but without the harshness

If it's the nicotine you are craving I would suggest giving nicotine salts a try, I tried with the normal nicotine and like you couldn't get on with it, but I was smoking for 20 years and stopped smoking the cigs on a Sunday night and went with some liquid with nic salts in and haven't looked back or touched a cig for over a month, I think it's different for people but nic salts are what got me off the cigs, they give you a nicotine hit alot faster than the normal nicotine liquid, hits you like it would when u have a cig

I haven't gone back to vaping again as it's just been awful this time round. I take a puff on it, choke and feel light headed then light a cigarette instead.

Should I just persevere or will I just make myself ill?
