Recipe mega thread

As much potential as the thread has this is heading in the wrong direction and spiralling out of control at an alarming rate.

The thread is pissing off the admins, and now the juice manufacturers that have spent their time and money perfecting liquids to keep us off the stinkies for so long are also getting offended.

At the moment it looks like POTV are approving of this thread by it being live / stickied and thanks to the Internet even international vendors are objecting.

Can only see this going one way

As was said earlier you really don't know when to give up do you ?

By all means host it on reddit or wherever but I think it gives potv a bad name and it looks like the forum is tacitly approving what is happening here

We are attempting to come to an agreement on how if this thread remains it should run

I think if this thread was run in more of a "recipe ideas" thread and also the vendors who do not wish to be used are adhered to .. the actual mixing ideology of the thread in terms of helping people understand favour from which to create their own variations is valuable information.

If the juice/vendor names are removed/changed so it is no longer a case of the recipes being linkable to a given vendor / juice ... how do we feel about that ?

Im all for creativity - maybe this thread should head in more a recipe collection / improvement direction unlinked to vendors and juices ?

When I start a thread I feel compelled to answer the posts in it, be them from people asking for help or people criticizing.

This is not me trying to be argumentative, its me trying to engage.

I'm here to work with the admins, not fight against them, and have no intention of digging my heals in, or storming of in a strop with my ball.

Its already on Reddit, and its been very popular there and here, the question is how best to present it here on POV to avoid the connotations you, and a few other member feel it invokes ......and that is something were are working on, rather then getting into a slanging match.

ZT Having just started my journey into diy mixing the thread is quite handy when it comes to flavour relations and I would like to see it kept alive.
I also agree wholeheartedly that any relevance to vendor products should be removed if the thread was to remain.

That being said, all of the information is out there on the interwebs so if you want to remove it I have no problem with that either.
Also, You would probably save yourself from headaches further down the road.

How's that for sitting on the fence?

I think you did a good think helping folk with recipes that are widely available all over the net, you just made an index. On top of that none of this has a pattent, most shop bought liquids are rip off attempt or inspired attempts of other juices, HIC on vape underground has best recipes going and he shares his.

Replacating a flavour isnt bad, takes some effort, also most juice makers use the same concentrates we do, cant for the life of me see why your getting greith for this thread tbh, if potv are getting techy about it, just remove the brand name and leave the recipe name with inspired in brackets at the end, nobody can say f all then i wouldnt think

you should definitely not be shy of asking questions about mixing if you are taking that route.

there are a lot of knowledgable mixers here only too willing to help, including the vendors... I don't know any that wouldn't freely give advice on mixing, including myself.

That has to be worth more than antagonising the vendors and staff with a contentious thread surely?
