Recommendation for a sub ohm tank where the juice lasts

Hi There,

I'm new to vaping and posted a thread previously on repeated burning taste on my Veco tank. Since then I've resolved this and have been using a Cleito Aspire tank, which has been much better and producing great flavour.

I've been using this at 35W but I've been finding that it's literally guzzling juice. Whereas with the veco tank at a similar wattage I only needed to refill this twice a day, I have to refill this at least double this.I find that each time I vape (maybe 10 -14 hits) it has gone through half a tank of juice.

Is there a tank that performs similar that is not as thirsty as this is now costing me quite a lot to keep refilling (and means I always have to have juice on me to top up).

Thanks,

Steve

As a very rough guide - the lower the ohms of the coil, the more power needed. The more power needed, the more liquid you go through. So lower ohms = more liquid consumption.

Options:

Get a tank with bigger capacity, so less filling.

Buy cheaper eliquid or mix your own, so cost of eliquid isn't too much.

Try a plus-ohm tank and vape higher nic at lower power - reduce liquid consumption.

Yeah, you need a less 'cloudy' tank .... clouds = liquid, there's no way around that.

You could try turning the power down, if that doesn't work then have look around for a tank with coils that are happy in the 20 - 30w range, I'm a bit of out the loop with stock coil tanks but the 0.5 Kangertech SSOCC coils are 20-30 rated (or something close) and those won't guzzle liquid. .. if you don't mind rocking an older tank like the Toptank then that might work for you.

It's a problem because for a while all we got from China was high powered mods and tanks/coils that were designed to use that power.

thanks so much for the replies - that makes a lot of sense. I definitely want to stick to the DTL form of vaping - so I'll look out for a tank and coils that work well around 20w.

For me I really like process of vaping as it stops me craving a cigarette. I'd definitely sacrifice bigger clouds to have more frequent hits. Additionally (probably because I'm using more liquid/ nicotine than I'm used to) I sometimes get lightheaded after vaping at that wattage.

I wasn't sure if I was doing something wrong to be going through liquid so quickly, but sounds like that's the normal process for running at this wattage.

Thanks,

Steve

sadly the minute you sub ohm you are going to be using far more liquid than you would like to. Especially something like the cleito which is designed for much more power!

It might be a better idea to use MTL devices if you really want to conserve liquid, something like the nautilus for example will allow you to have higher nicotine to curb cravings and at the same time you won't be using much liquid in the process.

Also something like the pod systems that are out now may be a option for you also. I have no experience in that sadly but again lower power but can give more of a vapour production than a MTL device if that sort of power is ideal for you.

If you go as far back as the Kangatech Subbox kit that released around 3 years ago could serve your needs ideally, only 30w or so vape with single battery and will allow you to sub ohm without burning through liquid quickly. However i am not sure what the modern equivilants to that device are these days.

I don’t think this is right.

As stated i have no experience with pod systems but i have seen some in action that seem to give more vapour off than a typical MTL device but still will be relatively low power, around the 30w that the OP mentioned.

If i am wrong then so be it but only going on what i have come across elsewhere

The lowest juice using dtl I have used so far is the Innokin Crios.
Have had/used the Cleito, Herakles 3, Revvo, Scion and Fireluke. Do have a little Joyetech Exceed but cant really class it as a full DTL like the others. The Crios has been the best juice consumption wise so far. That's using the .65 coils at 44 to 46 w.
Wouldn't say it sips the juice but it doesnt quite guzzle like the others.
