Regulated squonker with decent TC options?

Hi all,

Recently picked up a Snapdragon v1.5, and it's amazing, but I kind of miss the convenience of a tank (still love my Kayfun v5!) Figuring a squonker will fix all that!

I looked into the Steam Crave Squonker, but it seems as though it's TC is limited to Ni200 (a material in which i cannot build with to save my life!), so the gents over in the TC sub forum recommended Nife30, which seems to be working well, but I cant seem to find a mod with a DNA or SX350J board in a squonker mod that isn't a custom set up (while I love the look of some of the custom squonkers, I'm a little hesitant having a battery sat next to a bottle of juice in a custom mod? Not from a more..."reputable" supplier i guess?).

Also looked into the Kanger Drip Box 160w, which seems to have expanded it's TC profile, but ugh...it's monstrous!

Any other recommendations for a regulated, decent TC profile, squonker?

+1 on he Halcyon, he only thing that's put me off buying one is that apparently the battery life isn't great in the 900mah lipo.

+ 2 been using and loving my flask DNA40 squonker for a good while now, just got a halcyon... love lost vape mods in general and this mod is no exception, the halcyon has been the only squonker to catch my eye since my flask.

Edit...yes lipo isn't great for battery life whatever the watt hours maths say, have the 1300mah efusion...don't last long and seems takes a day to bloody charge while the board is doing its cell balancing thing, it's never pulling the full 1amp as spec....but as above the mods so smart I forgive and the board is second to none IMO. Typically have 4-5 mods/tanks which juice set up at anyone time anyway.

The halcyon has 1amp charging on board so it flys through the charging! Well in my experience anyway.

Have monitored my efusion DNA200, it pulls 1amp to begin but slowly lowers to around .5 at the end..think and maybe a DNA200 expert can confirm but I think its because it balancing the 3 cells...great mod though and to be fair I can polish off 30ml of juice on a day off so I'm always charging something...!

Yup. It'll fluctuate the current it pulls and monitor the temperature of the cell along with balancing them as it goes. That's partially where your mod resistance settings come into play that are set on escribe.

You can set your escribe up to show the individual cell voltage while it's charging if you like- it's handy to monitor that the balancing is working right on the board and all three cells are up to par.

900mah is easy to burn through for sure when you're running at higher watts. I can realistically kill a full Lavabox battery in a few hours the way I vape but like you said if it's one of a few it's not an issue.

I'm not a squonker,(yet [emoji6]), but if I were looking for a high end squonk mod the Halycon would be very high on the list. Looks lovely.
