Just received via email an FDA email shot on e cig regs and it's not looking good...

According to that email a battery and an empty tank isn't a tobacco product and no mention is made of separate juices. Somehow I doubt that's the whole story.

Methinks USA vaping vendors and manufacturers will have to consult their friendly neighbourhood vaping lawyer.

The date is probably chosen to benefit certain parties, fuck over other parties, and kill smokers.

The pre 2007 thing means that manufacturers and importers won`t be able to apply for "substantial equivalence" on new products they will have to apply for full new product approval on nearly everything.
This will be expensive and time consuming.

The proposed FDA regs are, in most respects, no better than the European TPD regulations and will hit many small vendors very hard as the time and cost involved in getting FDA approval will be prohibitive to many.
