Repairing a Cuboid with the 'Atomiser short' error.

Thank you for the good luck wishes.

I can solder, although am not the best at it I will admit. If I can't get it working another 510 may be the answer.
I have made a spacer for my RX200, on the cuboid with the issue even with the spacer it is still showing atomiser short.

I use tanks as well ad RDA's on mine, but you definitely have to be careful not to crank them down like you say, finger tight is right!

It is so bad that the RX200 I got for my birthday, along with a Gemini RTA, had a good space under the tank-which is why I use the spacer on there.

You'd have thought Joyetech/Wismec/Eleaf would have changed the 510's by now? The RX200s and Istick 200 have the same shitty setup too.
It's a shame because other than that for the price point they're great. I've got a Double Vision on my Cuboid at the moment and, like you say, just nipped up tight. No cranking required. Same with the RX and Istick.
Folks go on about 'Don't use Smok tanks with the RX because you'll kill the 510'. Only if you're over zealous cranking it down- otherwise you're fine.

Good luck buddy. I'd give yours a clean and your Mrs' a new 510. As long as it works don't worry about it being tidy- only you know it's there [emoji6]

Oh no, the updates versions also have the crappy 510? I wanted to get the RX 2/3 for me and also the missus, as in dual 18650 mode it is quite a small, powerful mod-if it has the same 510, I don't think I will get one.

They really are good mods, the RX200 gets as much use as my Evolv version, at a great price point.

I think mine may be OK, while Cheyennes isn't, due to her over tightening tanks/RDA's. I have told her to never go too tight, but I think she might of been a bit forceful when putting these on, leading to the issue.

And that is very true-you can't see it from the outside, so as long as it works well, that is the main thing :).

You could slip an atty gasket inbetween? that would mean it's not screwing in all the way, saving your 510 connector (and stopping atty rash in the process).

Stealthvape sell them.

My Tornado Nano won't screw in all the way and leaves a gap due to it's longer protruding centre pin, so i made a gasket out of an old nectar card, does the job nicely

As far as I'm aware the 2/3 has exactly the same 510 as the 200s, which is exactly the same 510 as the RX v1, cuboid and Istick 200. Wismec haven't changed a thing. Having said that I've got a V1 RX, Istick 200 and the Cuboid and have had no bother with any of them other than me being messy and having to clean the 510 on the cuboid. But I've never cranked an atty down, always finger tight.

But I agree they're great mods. However in my very humble opinion the Smok 510's are much better, and the devices are set at a similar price point to the Wismec family and they've got some very solid devices now. Pioneer 4U and Sigelei have better 510's too- come to think of it nobody I know has a worse 510 than Wismec [emoji15], but I think the quality of everything else you're getting overrides that.
