Replacement for MVP4

I wouldn't go for the Smok Vfin, the 8,000mah they advertise it as is actually a lie and the quality is shoddy, especially compared to Innokin and Eleaf products. The Eleaf Istick power mentioned before is a good shout.

Dug up this old post from Mooch about the Vfin (just another reason I stay away from their mods).

Thanks for sharing the Mooch report. I own two of these and not had any problems with them but really interesting to know about Smok's false claim about the battery rating.

Thanks to everyone for their input, very helpful. Lots of great options, I'll have to consider whether the extra money for the MVP5 is worth it for the USB Ç and torch.

I have the MVP5 kit and it's pretty good. Nice and robust and decent flavour from the supplied tank and mesh coils.

I got mine for free though and I very much doubt that I would have paid the price being asked for it. The torch is very handy but not worth the extra outlay imo.

I've been using an MVP4 for years and the poor battery has given out and no longer holds enough charge to last an entire day.

I bought a GeekVape Aegis mini from a nearby store and it's lovely, but doesn't last an entire day. Not ok, so it has to go to the Mrs and I need a new mod. Had I had my wits about me and done my homework, I would have realised that the MVP was 4500 mAh and the mini was half that. Live and learn.

I'm looking for something specific:

• I vape at roughly 20 watts.
• Will ideally charge via USB ç since so does everything else now and finding micro USB cables can be a pain.
• I'm not interested in taking batteries out and charging them separately. That doesn't work for me at all, I need something I charge over night and don't have to worry about until bed time.
• The MVP4 was kinda ugly, but that's ok. Wouldn't mind something more attractive though. The aegis is quite sexy looking.

I think that's it. Just something which won't run out after a day of vaping.

Any ideas or recommendations would be welcome!

Hi mate. Aegis Solo from Geekvape. Single 18650, charges no worries as its a single via USB, lasts all day on a .4 ohm sub ohm vape Zeus tank at 59w so 20w would be a breeze easy as for it. Water/jujce proof, shock proof. I have one and use the Zeus with the .4 on it and love it. Simple to use, tough as nails. Great little mod.

Thanks to everyone for their input, I finally caved in an bought the MVP5. Mainly for the USB C since that's one less cable needed and the 2A charging, plus my love for the MVP4. The flashlight is actually pretty handy for me since I need one during the winter to get up the alleyway into my house, so I don't need to get my phone out to use it as a light,

Can't see me using the compass or barometer, but hey.

Are you telling me you can't make calls with the MPV5 lol. Sounds like it would be good in the jungle lol.

Ha ha, yeah I keep thinking that if I get lost somewhere at least I'll know which way is north and what the air pressure is? Not sure who this is aimed at, maybe Bear Grylls?

No Probs man, im glad yours are working well just a bit hit and miss with Smok products and they don't do their reputation any favours by making false claims (he says whilst puffing his TFv16 lol).

Great shout on the MVP5, little bit more money but it will still be working in 5 years if it's anything like the rest of the MVPs

Cheers. I have quite a few different Smok mods and have to say I do like them. The tanks slightly hit and miss, love em but they do keep leaking on me lol.
