Review of The H-Atty / Micro Coil Setup

The beauty of being young and having 20/20 vision. I use a cut down 3mm screwdriver shank and 0.3 kanthal for my coils and still have problems. Don't get old I suppose.

hi mate,

we may both be using the same gauge wire and the same number of coils but if you are wrapping the coils around a thicker shaft than the syringe i was using then the overall length of your wire will be a lot longer than mine and therefore the resistance will be higher (longer the wire, higher the resistance - thicker the wire, lower the resistance)

You be careful with those dodgy minces ZT!!

I'm surprised you haven't backed that atty Scott, For me that's got to be the worst quality-wise made atty I've ever seen. It looked like a clone of the Aga-T2. Apart from the piss-poor bits you pointed out every other piece looked rough as feck. The post almost looked as if it was pitted. For that money I'd want perfection. I bet if Perseas or any of the other Greek boys see that vid they'll cry! It looks to me as if it was made about 4 o'clock on a Friday. Bank holiday weekend at that. It was only your decent set-up that gave it any credence in my eyes but then I'm a miserable old bastard. So she tells me anyway. ATB.

hi mate,

other than the poor quality finish, the rest of the atomiser is actually rather good in terms of good quality threading, parts screwing together smoothly etc etc but for the price it needs to be perfect throughout

the sad thing is that i also had one of the hand turned prototypes which was completely perfect throughout and it was being so impressed with its build quality and performance that made me want to also purchase one of the CNC versions.......sadly the CNC versions do not come close to the quality of the hand turned prototypes :(

I hear what you say Scott but that really was a bad one. What I don't understand is how it got past any QC to start with. I'm assuming you just bought it as a 'normal' customer? I wonder what the quality would have been like if you'd have told them who you were (assuming they haven't been living in a cave the past 3 yrs) and that you wanted it for a review?

That syringe Scott. What gauge was it, a 16? I'm just looking down the end of an 18g I've got here and I'm thinking surely it wasn't that thin. Was it?

Anyway, what are you doing on here. You should be grafting somewhere, earning all that dosh you spend on gear!! Probably sitting on a pile of bricks on a site somewhere playing with a tablet!:grin2:

hi mate,

the worrying thing is that they knew i purchased it specifically for a review! lol :omg:

i would not have a clue what gauge that syringe was to be honest.......but if its any help it seems to be the same as all the other syringes ive ever had so im guessing its quite a regular size?

Probably an 18g then. Jeezus that was a small coil. Just drying burning a few at the moment as I'm currently a Protank/Puritank due to the ease of them. I'll give the old syringe a try after, on the AC. Have to admit, that slim wick took me by surprise. Thanks for that mate.

I reckon the ones with the pink tops are 18g, and the ones with the green, 14g. Tried it earlier, but I only have .20mm kanthal, at it came out at 2.4ohm at about 10 wraps. So off to stealthvapes I went for some .30mm! I still get crackle and a nice taste on my Rocket, but it really needs a bit more oomph that lower res will give.

Came across a site that had a few different gauge syringes but didn't pay any attention to colour coding. I did consider getting a 14g as this 18 gets a bit tight on VG stuff. I'll have a look back through my browsing history. It may have been an this hydroponic site where I bought some 5ml pipettes. Hope so. This memory shit can really piss you off at times.
