The MVP3 Pro is an upgrade from the mvp3, its a 60 watt vv/vw mod with a large 4500 mah internal battery with the ability to charge external devices. Its a well built mod that feels solid just like the previous mvp versions in the past. The older mvp 1, 2 have been around a while now and had good reviews after much use. The mod is known for being sturdy and built well and very reliable. The mvp3 and mvp3 pro have continued this on by also being well built and reliable but with much higher power output, almost double the battery life as the original mvp as well as an easier to navigate menu system and screen.
As with all the innokin mods in the past it seems, you can still adjust power in voltage or wattage modes. Most mods these days lets you adjust mainly in watts with the volts calculated based off the resistance of the coil, however it can still be of some use to use voltage adjustment mode for example, if an atty is playing up and the ohms are jumping up rather than down its target resistance then having it just calculate the volts means it won't fire too hot. Although this may not be a common occurrence, it can sometimes happen more often on some specific attys or builds, so its nice to have that option there if thats ever an issue.
The mvp3 itself is nice to hold, not too wide and similar in height to many box mods. The positioning of the fire button is good too and is easy to press, alot easier than the original mvps and is a good sized button, all the buttons are well installed too with no button rattle. The 510 is stainless steel threaded with a spring loaded gold plated pin. Its slightly raised with air paths for the 510 air fed attys, but the height of it is barely noticeable. Theres an indicator light at the top now that shows the battery life, such as green for mostly full - full, orange for low- mostly full and red indicated when you should charge it. It will switch off when completely empty though too at around 3.3v. Its been said that to prolong a lithium battery you could charge when the battery gets down to around 3.6-3.7 volts or half way on most mods, but thats up to you.
The mvp3 pro came with the mod itself, a charge cable, an ego adapter and the isub G atomiser (reviewed separately) from the kit linked to from here, however theres also the mod only version that comes boxed with the usb cable and ego adaptor only. The mvp3 pro is available in 5 colors: blue, pink, black, silver, and a limited edition gold. The paintwork seems good and it is not a finger print magnet with all the finishes apart from the black one being a metallic color. The sides of the mod have a unique styling of a "pip" design where the gold version has a honeycomb design. The blue one I was testing seemed to not be too slippery to hold, possibly due to the combination of the finish and "pip" design in combination.
The mod will last for days when using it up to 20-25watts, and would still give good battery life at its max of 60w. The mvp3 pro also fires coils from 0.2ohms to 3.1ohms, the previous mvp3 would only go down to 0.4ohms, so it caters to much more vapers now. The mvp3 pro also has a 4500mah battery compared to the 3900mah of the mvp3, it also can draw up to 17.5amps compared to 10amps previous.
In voltage mode you can adjust in .1 increments and in wattage mode its .5 increments, with the scroll speed being decent. It also has a good range of 3-9 volts or 6-60 watts.
The Innokin products are known to focus on safety and has the usual protection features such as short circuit protection, low voltage protection, over current protection, over discharge protection, pcb overheat protection as well as having the sturdy exterior. There is also a 15sec cutoff timer. The chip has also been said to be very accurate with a flat dc signal.
The mod can be used as a passthrough, so you can charge and vape at the same time. And one unique feature is the built in charge cable allowing you to charge your phone, tablet or other usb device at up to 1amp/5volts with a micro usb, it also has a usb output with the same 1amp output for other devices that use connectors other than the micro usb. The built in cable is also replaceable in case it ever wears out. The mod can be charge via micro usb from the port just below the + and - button. Its not the fastest charging mod as it seems to charge at just under 0.8 amps through most of the charge.
To get around the mod its 5 clicks of the fire button to switch on or off. When you get the mod it may be in voltage mode which can be changed by holding the + then the fire button for a few seconds and itll then display the watts in larger writing instead of the voltage. To turn it back into voltage mode hold - then the fire button. If you hold the + and - button it will at first display the amount of puffs and battery charge, and atty resistance. If you keep holding down on the + and - buttons it will flip the screen over for left handed mode and can be reset back by holding + and - again.
Overall its been a good mod to use, the screen is nice and big the buttons are good too. It would make a good mod for someone starting out vaping and also caters to higher wattage users. The good thing about having the built in batteries too especially for newer users is they have been put together by innokin specifically for the mod so no need to buy any separate batteries or charger. The high battery capacity is great too, at low watts it can last ages. Its also not much bigger than the original mvp but with the battery capacity similar to 2x18650 batteries but not as wide as most dual battery mods
