Aye, some interesting stuff.

Seems like a major theme is bodies like WHO, that are supposedly concerned with public health, have actually muddied the waters for a lot of the public, so much so that a lot of them don't understand the difference between vaping and smoking and believe that vaping is just as harmful as smoking.

In a nutshell, the more puritanical antz have misinformed and scare mongered the public about vaping and quite probably stopped a lot of current smokers from trying vaping, thereby causing increased tobacco harm.

'Quit or die' is alive and well unfortunately.

Whilst this is somewhat down heartening and a lot of us already guessed that 'big tobacco control' was quite prepared to sell out on tobacco harm reduction to protect their own particular gravy train, I was quite pleased to have come across a catchy little label that rivals 'astroturfer'.

The phrase 'fear fueller' is a pleasing little alliterative term that I can see myself using liberally in the coming months. ;)

I'm also going to use 'useful idiot' (especially after googling it!), as i seem to encounter these everyday at work. I'm looking forward to seeing the video and the getting context behind the feed. On a purely anecdotal basis however I have noticed far more people vaping recently, and more interest from a minority of smokers. Just goes to show that if it affects them people do take an interest in getting an informed basis to make lifestyle judgements and not everybody swallows propaganda.

"Overall, we have a pretty vibrant market with nothing going wrong, and much going right. Do we really want to introduce all these burdens??"
