Rugby match with cardboard spectators

Im watching a rugby match from NSW, aus. The stands are full of cardboard cutouts...but there is cheering and stuff, n the non existent crowd roars when there is a score, or a goal, or whatever its called in rugby.

This is really weird...

Edit: aussie rules football actually, cant really tell the difference

Been done over here for football (soccer to you guys) & broadcaster Sky is using EAs FIFA sound bites to create crowd atmosphere. Probably what the Aussie broadcasters are doing.

We held our first auction since March at work last week. Nobody in the room but my boss still had to sit on the rostrum and go through the sale for the online bidders. I'd suggested putting stickits of little smiley faces all round the room for him to keep him going. :D

It'll be the first time an Aussie rules crowd will be able to stand up unaided.
