I wouldn't say I'm a whizz bit I've found what generally works for me on the little.

Couple of pics of my centre single coil for you. Tend to build between 0.7 and 0.8 Clapton with 0.42 inner wrapped with 0.2 about 6/7 wrap around 2mm. Goes in with the legs lower most through diagonal opposite holes. Takes a bit of fanagling to get it in there but don't have to do it too often so worth the effort. Leave the legs a bit longer and leave the coil on the bar, form the legs so that you can get the ends through then give them a good tugging into place with the coil sitting diagonal between the posts. Wick it so the legs drape down by one side of each post and just curl slightly along the deck. Line dual air hole up with the gap between each wick and post, you can see right through it when it's right. Hope it works for you.
