Schematic Check

I was thinking about this today and my worry would be the risk of a short ie. Parallel cells in series configuration or series in parallel. I really would stick to one box one voltage, i can see the attraction to the idea, but it costs about twenty quid to build a hammond box, its really not worth the risk for twenty quid imo.

Really sorry to sound so down on the idea but felt i should point that out.

I've been told about Lipos, it's possible I'm gonna build a few different boxes but the Series is just a starter to see how it goes. As for switching, there's a guy called Joe Kensinger over on G+ from the US who makes a box called the Power Box which does switch. I may contact him and see if he'll give me some info.

I see what you're saying and having talked with an electrical engineer I'm fully aware that the internals of the switch to switch from parallel to series and vice versa can short. However, I may have found a couple of small switches that are decent and can handle it without a 'fet, which have been looked over by them. I know it's a case of on my head be it. This is mainly why I use 25Rs as they don't vent explosively. Plus the whole thing's in a Hammond so it can be thrown out the window if something does go awry..

This I totally agree with.
Given that you would need to swap/rebuild atomisers anyway it makes sense to me to have separate mods

If I just wanted to experiment I would build a box with two single battery sleds and build it as a parallel then rebuild it as a series

Personally though I would just build a series box and be done with it
