Any advice on a decent set up with easily available coils etc..
She would need something that can be carried around in pocket.

Have you thought about a pod system? Plenty give great flavour and are very portable. The Vaporesso Xros, the Uwell caliburn g or KoKo or Geekvape Wenax would all fit the bill.
