Are you treating the wood ?

I once rubbed a bit of olive oil into them (that's what they recommend), other than that, not really. It doesn't get much use though to be honest. Probably a good session a week, with a beer and a film.

I would say that's the reason, overtime the wood dries up , and it need oil every now and then , every 2 week I get them cleaned and oiled
