Good Sunday y’all! Finally broke out the BY-ka clone, been sitting undisturbed since I bought it A pita to build because of the fecking grub screws, but it’s not bad now that it’s up and running

The Dope has been really hit or miss for me in the 10 days or so I’ve been playing with it. My own 50/50 blood orange mix tasted brilliant, but the just juice bl.orange/citrus/guava is driving me mad. I cannot get the guava note! Regardless temp, coil placement or wicking

Enough whinging, my mtl build is a ss 30g wire with 6 spaced wraps, about 1.0ohm, but I’ve also used a ss 28g with 8 wraps, about 0.7ohm. Always on temp control.

The tank is the Veepon boro in the new colors. Works well, but 1) there’s no way to access the deck without emptying the juice, and 2) it feels like cheap plastic crap.

I see, I'm running something similar 28 or 26ga kanthal, 5 wraps 3mm coming out at 1ohm. The flavour is better than my other boro which is the diver but is not as good as my RTAs. will have to experiment with it a little bit. Have you tried building your coils as low as possible to the airflow? that seemed to help me out a bit.

Indeed, my SOP on any new rta/rba is to slam the coil as low as possible, without shorting out. I’ve tried low, high, and everything in between. And it’s a 2.5mm id coil. Even tried two different kinds of cotton…

I think the problem is a combination of the 65/35 eliquid and my wicking. Both with 50/50 and 65/35 I feel like I’m overwicking it, but I’m afraid any less cotton will flood the fecking thing As with any new toy, it’s a learning process
