"Gnomon" pronounced "no mon" the (G is silent) is the indicator on a sundial to cast the shadow to indicate time.
Gnomon means the one who knows
time is cruel its something you can never gain its invisible but you see it everywhere as I look down at Alfie sleeping as I type, I see he's not the young pup he once was time is passing and one day he won't be here
this is why all sundial motos that you see in Latin are sad because time is a taker it does not give
this mod I have made over a long period the engraving is a complex one of Celtic and Buddhist meanings all are related to life and death the owner of the mod is lovely we have had long chats on the phone she is a complete stranger but we have spoken over many many things some of those chats have been late at night from life and death to art and culture
