hi everyone,

I got my uncle a pod system a few weeks ago and he loves it and chucked the fags straight away. However he's just told me that theres been a few occassions where hes felt light headed as if he was about to black out. He said it even happened when he was driving. He thinks its cause of vaping and found some articles online which were telling him how vaping causes high blood pressure etc but he's going to see a doctor to get checked out.

Thats the first ive heard of vaping causing that but I dont think it is which I did tell him. Just wondering if any of you have had similar experiences or know of others that have and maybe could shed some light?

thanks

Sounds more like nic overdose but worth getting checked out.
If he's on high nic juice he may be hitting too often so may be worth dropping the nic level to compensate.

I gave him 8mg nicotine juice. He was having his rollies before starting this so I don't know what mg those are but will have to check that to see.

thanks mate

Cigs are between 8-12mg on average. If he's chain vaping he'll still get a headrush (dizzy & light headed). Also could be getting dehydrated as vaping will cause this so needs to increase fluid intake.

ahaan yeah I mentioned the drinking aspect and he was having a lil dig at me for not telling before. Right cool I got you. Thanks for that mate!
I was looking everywhere online for the nicotine content of sterling tobacco.

appreciate your advice, thanks mate :)

Agree with nwhornet

Vaping is so different to smoking, he has been so used rollies and how his body reacts that vaping could be caused it due to chain vaping and lack of hydration.

Maybe drop him to 6mg and try to get him to drink more water or squash.

What device and juice is he using?

100% he should still get checked as it may not be related at all.

Please let us know how he gets on matey.

yeah I will tell him to try out a 6mg juice.
I gave him a spare fog minifit kit which he really liked cause of the size although I was trying to get him the caliburn. He has now got the Xros kit a couple days ago and has been using that.

yeah I think he is still going to get it checked especially after reading those cooked up articles hes read online that has got him worried.

thanks

It's really difficult to answer these questions but I'd be pretty confident in saying that most people don't suffer from any serious side effects from vaping. We tend to suffer more from side effects from stopping smoking.

Side effects of stopping smoking are "Depression; feeling irritable, panicky or anxious; digestive issues; insomnia; dizziness; feeling like you have flu, with a cough and sore throat."

Vaping can keep most of the nicotine cravings at bay, but it won't stop all the withdrawal symptoms of stopping smoking. Unless he was a very light smoker I'd be very surprised if he's consuming more nicotine that he did smoking.

thanks for your answer, appreciate it.

He's actually at the chemist just now getting his blood pressure checked and said its high so they have asked him to try to relax and are taking it again.

I never knew there were side effects to stop smoking, wow. Honestly thanks for this information, very helpful.

just wondering is there anything he can do or take to help combat the withdrawal symptons?
