Silica Wick

There seems to be different types of "silica wick" and the glass fibre puts me off. Is there such a thing as silica without glass fibre?

I use silica wick all the time Its specially made to withstand X degrees of heat and prevent burning/melting. If you are concerned about inhaling little fibres, I will remind you of your smoking days Jokes!!

Try SS mesh if silica concerns you?

I've used mesh and currently using ss rope in my aga t2. I love the flavour you get from silica in my dripping atomizers. The thing that got me thinking was when I was looking at stealthvape site today. Their description of their silica wick is

Our silica wick has the highest possible silica content at above 96.6% and is not to be confused with other wicks such as fibreglass, glass fibre or high temperature glass fibre that are often mis sold as silica wick.

So is there a real difference between the silica at the mesh company and the silica at stealthvape?

Not sure to be honest, I've never bought silica from the Mesh Company... in fact, the only silica I have is from stealthvape and probably will be the only kind I buy since I know how hard he makes sure he only caries the best stuff.

There is a difference, but I couldn't tell without a microscope probably!

That's what I mean, I wouldn't want to be one of the mesh company's guinea pigs and end up with asbestosis or something.

never bought off either for silica, get mine off terry on another forum and elowool off C9V, Mesh I agree rob at stealthvape is a lot better than the mesh company
