Single coil squonking rda

for what its worth id personaly recomend the following & yes i do own them

1, castle rda tight draw & dont leak
2, dead rabbit sq, great for flavour & easy to build, draw quite loose
3, recurve rda, tightish draw good for flavour, but can dribble if you over squonk
4, Athena rda single coil or dual, the draw can be tight or loose depending on which drip tip you use, great on flavour, super easy to build on & never leaked.

I read all the good things about flavour, and just a single coil to make & wick, but when I bought one I was greatly disappointed by the flavour from it.

What did you buy ? I get my best flavour from single coil...

Better flavour is simply because a single coil RDA usually has a considerably tighter draw than a dual coil rda (and is usually 2mm less in diameter too). You can't fire a dual coil at 100w with restrictive draw, you'll burn cotton. Single coil, you can (well not at 100w, but 50w). Smaller chamber = less turbulence, more flavour. It has to be designed for it though, i'm currently trying the 24mm Drop in single coil config and it's just arse, not getting anything from it.

Weird, supposed to have good flavour. At least from what i've heard, not used it personally yet - ordered Recurve instead.

I beg to differ, my best RDA at the moment is a GasMods GR1, it has plenty of airflow.

Single coil, tiny chamber, and restrictive airflow. I'll quote the review:

The Gas Mods G.R.1 is one of the latest affordable bottom feed ready rebuildable dripping atomisers to hit the market recently, aimed at vapers who prefer a tighter, and more flavoursome draw!

I don't see your point, you're just supporting what i said. Without having used it, i can tell you that it has restrictive airflow just by the size of the airflow ports. Which btw isn't a negative thing, quite the opposite. A flavour tank needs restrictive airflow. That's one of the key aspects of it.

Sorry mate, I missed putting it in my post, a Dead Rabbit SQ
I had one of them and totally agree with you, I couldn't get any decent flavour from it, I tried my usual single coil builds in it, all types of wire, placing coils high and low, just couldn't get it to play ball...
