Try chromium, its a bit more up to date than chrome and can be found here,

Should add its Identical to chome but open source

I just "updated" google chrome,thought it would do it on its own or pop up something ....will see if this helps. If it doesnt, going to piss me off as I love Chrome!

Chrome should auto update, if it does not, uninstall and re-install to get it freshened up
