Yesterday I received a copper 24 2 post Kennedy from a shop it seemed old stock It marked up and it smells really strong i think it might be machine oil I've washed it twice in soapy hot water it's not so much a bad taste but it really smells I was wandering if it's just a common copper smell if possible how do I get rid of it any help I'd be grateful

I would try putting some boiling water and a few drops of vinegar in a cup and leave for a few hours then rinse. This is what I do when I got my new rda :)

Soak in Isopropyl alchohol or hi proof Vodka overnight will do the job

Kennedy's usually come with a healthy dose of machine oil on or in them.Ultrasonic cleaner is the best bet imo, if you don't have one an old toothbrush , washing up liquid and hot water work well, do rinse it well afterwards though. Isopropyl alcohol pads are useful too to give it a final once over

I've just had it in some cheap vodka for about 5 hrs and Im sure I can still smell it I've not had a rda like it it was caked in it. Cheers for all your suggestions. Another night in the vody and a good scrub in the morning I think

.......and if you haven't had enough suggestions, take it apart and put it in the cutlery rack in the dishwasher.
