Smok R200 Firmware Upgrade

Hi, I am trying to do the Smok R200 firmware upgrade, but for some reason I am not able to get the mod detected by my PC. I am following the instructions and have the '-' button depressed, but no joy.

Anyone have any ideas what I might be doing wrong? It has to be obvious, just not a clue what that obvious thing is lol.

yeh you just got to take the batteries out before you try the update, i know i tried for a bit as well, i feel like its just a huge over sight they missed when going over the upgrade, also another thing to keep an eye out when you go to load your file i had to change my type from .bin file to .hex to see the file in the browser menu.
i signed up for this site just to tell you this as i had the same struggles and found no answers on line yet lol enjoy bro
