Looking at buying one of these today from my local B&M

just a question are these worth the money? are they good?

Pros and cons of the MOD

Does the update make a difference to them as well?

Thanks

I like it despite the settings in TC mode not bearing any resemblence to other mods , ( temp coefficient is maxed as is the Temo) even with the latest firmware updates.

Maybe mines faulty as others report there's to be fine, but as I can get it to work it's no big deal to me.

The good bit coupled with the TFV4 this is a beast, you can quite happily vape away at over a 100w if you so wish. Build quality is pretty good despite being a finger print magnet, and I would still recommend it.

I've had mine for about a month and love it.
Looks great lots of pointless features (still awesome though)
Battery lasts me about 3 days (currently on day 4 at the moment though)

Biggest con for me though is the menu system can be a pain. If you accidentally go into it there isn't a way to come out of it. You need to do something with it before it closes.

Just my opinion,
Pros: solid construction and build, good battery life, plenty of power, upgradable firmware, very customisable with various boost modes, has TC for nickel titanium stainless steel, has fancy LED light show (pretty), Bluetooth to adjust Things via phone/tablet, pairs with TFV4 perfectly
Cons: Big and heavy not a pocket friendly mod!, battery door not 100% fitted (typically a bit of a gap and rattle but no biggie), TC is a bit awkward altho simpler as you can't adjust watts/joules just temp, device won't always recognise a new atty so needs to be fired without an atty to recognise a new one, Android app sucks
Even if you don't get on with the TC on it then it's an awesome high powered box mod so for me it was worth it and smok seem to be updating firmware quite quickly.

That depends entirely on how much of your hard earned they're gonna want to relieve you of !
Keep in mind, you could order 1 online now, and have it in your hands tomorrow morning, for £51.50

Yes. I can not recommend it more. The TC is the best out of all my devices, going from sig 75, IPV D2 then Smok Xcube 2 in order.

It is rather techy, but I like technology due to what I do (Pc repair, am going for a course later in the year to be fully qualified by cisco for A support engineer role, with good money, last year I was a dying, alcoholic junkie who ended up brain damaged, this year everything is going well for me, and I have not drunk or done drugs since the 23rd april 2014) and some people dislike this, but being able to link to your phone and see in real time what wattage is being pulled, amps, voltage, and resistance of coil as temp changes is amazing.

It also is user upgradeable which I have done (to 1.091, not 1.092 as that has some bugs) and that means instead of having to get a new mod with the fix to a big issue (there is none though) you do it yourself.

Out of my 6 mods so far, it is by far my favourite.

Dual battery does it for me. I wouldn't use it as an out and about device though due to its size, it is around the size of the Sigelei 150 Watt in size, I compared them side by side and they are almost identical.

If you want TC for outdoor use, I recommend the D2. On the Sig, TC leaves a minimal bit of burn with a hit that you can taste, the IPV does not, Set around 30 juoles and about 250C. ( My preference, it allows coils to reach temp without a large ramp up, and as its under 30 watts lasts the day if you plan it as your ADV, and I am a heavt vaper).

Honest though, for the price I would grab one.

You will not be disappointed.

Still enjoying mine, Fixed the door with 2 bits of rubber stuck next to magnets. Was having issues selecting Ti without the app but since adding SS options Seems I can do it all via the device.

Tc does have a boost mode (+ button and Bar) that changes between min soft normal hard and max, gives a boost or reduction to initial power.

Kinda wish I waited and got a black one but as an allround power mod with tc its fab.

For such a huge piece of metal with more than enough power for most. It's a bit of a billy bargain if you can pick one up for the usual £50 or so.
I hated mine. Nothing wrong with it. And the door fitted perfectly. But that menu, the relative pfaff when changing atomisers from TC to kanthal jobbies and the huge unfriendly pocket size meant it lasted a week before I moved it on.
I've got a Sig150wtc now and I'm a lot happier.

well they done me a deal, the xcube II and a tfv4 tank for £60 dropped to my work

just got it there now! cant wait to get home now and have a play its like Christmas came early!

That's a decent deal, hope you picked up some decent batteries to go with that! I immediately got 4 LG he4 batteries exclusively for this, you want batteries rated at least 30amps and you want to "marry" them together for and use and charge the same pair together (label them with a sharpie!). I'm sure you'll enjoy it!
