What's new

smok x cube II anyone got one?

Rip Trippers did a review in which he commented that non-spring loaded tanks don't always make a good connection, which to me is a deal killer.

Another thing - the firing button, I jsut don't like the idea of it. Stick with a regular button, if it isn't broken then don't fix it.

That's a decent deal, hope you picked up some decent batteries to go with that! I immediately got 4 LG he4 batteries exclusively for this, you want batteries rated at least 30amps and you want to "marry" them together for and use and charge the same pair together (label them with a sharpie!). I'm sure you'll enjoy it!

though it was a deal I couldn't turn down!

Don't think I've had any problems with any tanks or drippers making a good connection. The fire bar is quite different but for a big box makes it quite comfortable as you can fire it from any angle.... We'll have to see about the longevity of it though!

That's good to hear.

But yeah, I see the button as more of a novelty thing. I will have to go into a shop and see if I can try it out myself.

well they done me a deal, the xcube II and a tfv4 tank for £60 dropped to my work

just got it there now! cant wait to get home now and have a play its like Christmas came early!

That's a decent price. :) even with the xcube @ £50, the TFV4 is 27-28 quid tank (complete kit inc rba deck) for a tenner.

I've not had any issues with tank connection at all. Not sure what he was using but maybe I will check it out.

As for the "button", I love it. It works really well and is a much better idea than a standard button.

The main downside for me is that it is a bit weighty and with it being square and one of the sides being a button, it is not the easiest unit to hold. But all in all, I love it.

TC is not as good as the DNA 200, but again, firmware can change that so will see what happens.

Cheers

I also love the button. Out of my 3 TC devices, it does it the best so I am more than happy, but its a bit big for out and about plus don't want to drop and scratch its lovely finish, I take out the Sig 75, the IPV D2 or a sig 30 w mini.

This sounds good to me, i've grown to embrace the big mods, they feel nice in my main hand.

I've played around with TC, but not enough to fully make up my mind. It was a mod i had purchased for my gf so i didn't want to take it away for a long time because she wanted to vape on it. I would really like to try out TC properly on either Snow Wolf 200 of X Cube 2, but my expectations towards TC are low. If I like TC, then great but nothing will change if I end up not liking it. I do it for the Kanthal :14:

Drip trippers is a Dna 200 nut and gets a cut for helping sell the things. So he is telling lies i reckon. Get the xcube2 i got mine a few weeks ago and had no problems with any of my tanks. don't get me wrong Rip tripper has some good knowledge but he will plug the Dna 200 all day, i am not a fan of DNA and think they are overpriced and overhyped, it can still break it can still have problems it only gives power to an atomizer that then vapourizes liquid so why fork out that sort of cash an xcube will cost you £50 not £100 plus so you have enough money to by 2 or a couple of atties or an atty batteries and charger, not everyone will agree but each to their own

Yes, I am inclined to think that he was either making it up, or more likely - it was a crappy version he got, I believe it was a "sample not for resale" version so Smok might have fixed the issue by now. Another ape also reassured me that the 510 is fine. I haven't used the more advanced mods out there, so i don't really have an opinion of my own on the DNA vs. other chips. I will simply have to make a decision between a Snow Wolf and Xcube 2 when i pop into a B&M. Right now i feel like 20% SW and 80% X Cube, provided that my assumptions are correct, which i think is the case.

I feel like i've done enough preparation now, will have to wait till Saturday and see how it goes.
