Hi everyone first of all I want to say hello to you all I'm a new member here and I was wondering if anyone could help me with what's going on with my vape. I stopped using it for a couple of months due to lack of coils I have the captain mini capo 100 I stopped smoking with this vape it's one of a kind used to use it everyday and no problems at all. Today I've got new coils and when I started to charge it a battery with an X and another battery with a Tick mark showed up I took the battery out and it still showed up I'm not entirely sure what's happening and if it can be fixed or not I've removed the battery and took it off charge for now. Can anyone help me?

Maybe one battery drained so low, that the mod thinks is it naff, most manufactures charging work on the principal that once it drops below a certain voltage they call it dead, yet some third party chargers can bring it back to life.

Have you tried a dedicated charger ?

Was the battery unused for that amount of time if so would possibly confirm the low voltage idea.

Have you checked what the manual says ?

Oh no way that's a shame because I've got the dedicated charger always used that cable for the device and I was only given one battery for it, I've had a read through the manual and Google I can't find anything about the problem on there I wanted professional help and now am here [emoji4].

I've been trying some 3rd party cables only one made it jolt back to the original display setting but in almost 3 seconds went straight back to the problem I think it's a lost cause [emoji53].

To be honest, I would recommend always charging your batteries with a dedicated charger rather than the supplied cable. Although a lot of regulated devices have protection, it's safer and you guaranteed a full charge.

I would try charging the battery in the separate dedicated charger and if that doesn't work then I'm wondering if the battery is now dead.

What make of battery is it? It might be down to the quality of the battery.

My initial thought was firmware corruption - a single cell mod with a picture of two batteries???

I've just looked more closely though...

That symbol is basically saying "you have the cell in backwards".

It's a pictogram - battery positive end up = rut ro, turn it over, big X.

Positive end down = well done, big tick for you.

Which way up did you insert the battery? (actually cell, but hey ;))

Oh, by the way...

If the cell is in correctly and it's still showing that on the screen then either the cell or mod is faulty (thinking the cell is backwards).

If the device was left with the cell in for months, that'd kill it stone dead - they're never really "off", 5 clicks is just standby so always trying to draw a little power.

If simply putting the cell in properly doesn't fix it, take it to a shop and ask to try a battery on condition that if it works you buy it. Should be £5-10 absolute max for a cell from a shop.

And buy a dedicated charger, and by 'dedicated' I mean external. Not a lead, and not a plug - not to charge it using the mod...

The battery is ijoy 21700 / 3750 mAh high drain rechargeable lithium 3.7 V 13.88Wh battery. This morning before I had to go to work I tried different 3rd party charging cables but still showed the same error I'm actually wondering if it is just the battery. When I stopped using the device I turned it on a couple of times to charge it if needed then just left it after that.

Right okay I've kept it in the same way ever since I bought the vape and unfortunately did leave it in the device but must've just been 2 months I left it for but kept charging it then left It until recently so I'm guessing it is the battery just going Stone dead then I was gonna attempt to take it apart and see if it was something inside the vape that was wrong. Thanks for all you're help I appreciate it guys [emoji106]
