Hi guys/gals,

New to mixing so bare with me on this..

I have read that for depth of flavour at least 1-2 weeks of steeping is required when mixing up juice.

I have read of people putting juice in the microwave and in foot warmers etc to speed up the process. I have even read that one guy put his made up bottles in the dishwasher for half an hour and they heated up consistantly and was a great vape...!

Anyone hear have a TRIED AND TESTED methods ?

Or should I just wait and state the best things come to those who wait?!

If it's fruit just vape it straight after mixing. Leave desserts a week or so, just give them a shake every so often.

microwave heatpad...twice a day
and a froth every 3 days
does it make any difference.?...dont think so :-(
...but i cant stop myself.

only really do this for custards...or to a lesser extent creamy mixes.
fruit or fruit mixes are generally ready within a day or 2.

I've done the rounds of most of the 'tips and tricks' to speed up steeping, but then I had a eureka moment! Why try to hurry? It's not as if I'm in desperate need, I've got tons of 'here's some that I made earlier'
All I do now, is mix, damn good shake, shove it in the drawer, and leave it until I get around to trying it.

I have a homemade hot box (foam lined dark box and a hot water bottle). All my freshly made juices go in the box for at least 12hrs sitting on the hot water bottle. Every couple of hours I go and give them a shake and pop them back in the box. I don't keep refilling the hot water bottle. Just fill with freshly boiled water once. That will warm the juice up and keep it warm for a good few hours and then cool down nice and slowly. The foam lined box keeps the heat in for ages.

Fruit flavours are good to go straight away but I still find the 12hr hot box helps to mix them up nicely.

Custards take longer to steep so I tend to repeat the 12hr hot box with a fresh hot water bottle and then put away somewhere dark and cool for at least a week.

Absolute genius.

Thanks guys..

Some great ideas there. I generally just vape fruits and not a massive custard fan so I guess steeping isnt a priority at this stage. I made my first batch yesterday and decided to vape it and I love it.

I just stuck the bottle in a bowl of hot water for 10 mins and it was great.

Loving the hot box idea.. :)

Can't beat a hot box!

I froth the fuck out of mine when mixing, then give them a 4 second blast and a good shake each day. Does it make any difference? I don't think so but I feel like I am doing something so there is a placebo effect there!

I opt for the patience approach. Just a shake each day for the first week or so, squeezing the air out of the bottle first each time. I'm mainly using custards/desserts/creams so try and leave it at least two weeks before diving in! If I make a couple each week than after the first two weeks, I'll always have a couple to try.
