Starter Kit

I had no idea either.. ive been reading up quite a bit on the internet. and i smoke roughly 15 a day.. Do these things feel the same as having a proper cig?

Just seen that you have posted the same question in the new user section and others are helping you on there.
KulrMeStoopid, can you merge threads??

Not quite but I used to smoke 60+ a day for 40 years or more so you can see the transition can be made. It's finding the right set up to suit yourself. We can advise and guide you but at the end of it, it's down to your own personal taste. First thing to decide upon is budget and then advice can be tailored to suit.

Yes, i know what you mean.. and im not bothered about budget aslong as its worth the money

both threads have now been merged... for future reference, please dont double post the same threads :) The same amount of people will see it and you'll get better advice if it's all in 1 thread, causes less confusion and all that hub boo lah.

Cheers!

markt91 all the links that have been posted are sound suggestions .most of us start on an ego type set up .then as time goes on some upgrade to variable voltage kits either ego spinners or bigger mods .that choice is further down the line usually .its not exactly like smoking .but as you have only tried motives you will find that a starter kit will be alot closer to smoking than you think .welcome to the planet m8

Well, you've had a taste of cig-a-likes (10 Motivs) and they are all much of a muchness. That's a polite way of saying crap btw.

Personally, I would get set up on what I would say is a halfway system so you can get a good taste of what vaping is all about without a lot of faffing about as sometimes can happen. Then once you have a stable set up, you can start looking around the 10 sqillion e-liquid vendors here in the Uk to go through as many sample flavours as you can to find a few that you like. Taste is very very subjective and so that side of it is purely down to you.

As a 15 a-dayer, I would suggest you start with flavours that are of an 18mg/24mg strength, which is medium to medium-high. The stronger the flavour, the more bite or throat hit you'll get. You can easily adjust as you go along.

We have a Wiki and a Diki where you can read up on all the vaping terminology and background info to vaping and you'll find it very helpful.

In the meantime if you order this kit http://www.ukecigstore.com/e-cigarettes/advanced-kits/joyetech-ego-passthrough-kit-upgraded-battery which comes with a sample bottle of juice and order a 5pk of what they call cartomiziers and a few other different bottles of flavour of 18mg strength, you'll be good for a few weeks. This will give you time to bed down into the vaping scene.

Any other questions you will inevitably have, will be answered the good folk of POTV. :welcome1:

Thanks for the advice. I just tried to order the Joyetech EGO kit. On the link you sent it has some options on the right hand side but it wont let me change them ?
