Hey Apelleros,

Has anybody ever compiled an approximate guide to steeping time by flavour? Or is this something really obvious that I've missed somewhere?

I know custards take 'longer', but I'm finding some flavours improve with a few days, some with a week, some nearer a month. Wondered if someone had already done the legwork for me!

It's all down to personal preference. I like old custards. (the one I'm using now is dated 12/2/15) when i made it I liked custards at about a month old, now it has to be at least 3 months +.
Most of my juices sit on the cupboard for at least a month except for RA which is vaped pretty much straight away

Is that date written the American way or is your custard actually 16 months old? I've got some coming up to a year and I thought that was pretty good.

It's actually that old. Funny thing is, it's still clear [emoji50]

As @Jugg1es said .. its pretty much down to personal preference .. I tend to like custards at anywhere from 30 seconds to 1 week old

kind of loose interest in them after that

But I realise Im in a minority there :) the point is everyone is going to like things better at different age points - would be a mega hard guide to do just from that fact alone.

Thing is, some like a liquid, say custard for example, almost straight after mixing, some like it after a week or so and then some prefer it after at least a month after mixing.
Personally I prefer creams and custard mixes after 3 weeks onwards because for me I find the flavours start to shine whereas to me when I vape a cream or custard in the first week after mixing tastes meh!
If you think logically about premium juices they would generally have sat in their bottles for at least a month after being mixed and bottled then sat in storage before being shipped out to retailers where again they will sit until sold.
But being mixers in the DIY game we all look for almost instant results.
At the end of the day it's about what works for you?

Hmm, guess I shall have to make my own! I'm with @Jugg1es, not had a custard that is too old yet! A month seems to be bout the minimum...

Easier than it looks, it really is. Get mixing.

Oops, "it" being the steeping guide - my Vape lair has already turned into a mad scientist lab, and although my concoctions are a long way off a premium line, I am thrilled and relieved to be able to manage a vapeable custard - and I discovered Capella custard v1 makes everything taste goooood lol!
As for the rest - still at the bottom of that learning curve!
