The 21 has a usbc in the same place as the 18650 and If you dig a hole in the side wall it's there.
They didn't make it accessible like the 18650 because the wall on the 21 is quite thick.

Yeah I had a replacement chip trying to beat the parasitic battery drain and clocked it's the same board set up ..prefer it not open though
