Thanks for that Matt. I was told about the version 2 flavours a while back, but in a round about way as you have just put it a lot clearer and easy to understand. Im all up for learning most things as it is interesting and keeps the brain ticking along. We have to catch up soon! :)

I am glad you have the info it isn't just custards there are others check the link below Will have a catch up soon mate

Are you type 1 or type 2?. I am type 1 so it's a simple fix if my sugar rises but i doubt eliquids cause any rise in Blood sugars due to the fact there is no sugar in eliquids there are sweetners added but no actual sugar, if sugar where to be including then the liquids would give off poisonous chemicals. If you are type one let me know what insulin(s) you use and i might be able to help you keep your levels down
was told I was pre about 3 years ago, and never had any follow up until now. I thought I'd been doing ok diet wise, and especially losing some weight over the last year as I've been sat on my arse looking at a laptop from home instead of being on my feet in a workplace. I do have a bit of thought as to where the rise on the Hb1ac has come from. but I'm going to get a BG monitor to see what I'm doing wrong as I don't want to go on any meds if I can help it

Some good info added to this thread though, thanks all for sharing

I have been type 1 for 40 years, I have very little in the way of sight and a few other issues, all caused by high blood sugars which where caused by the long acting insulin wasn't working. So i have learned a wealth of info over the 40 years. Now on to you the reason i spoke up was concern, if you are running high sugars then as a possible type 2 diabetic the damage is more and sets in faster. I don't want you to end up losing a leg or your sight. So please go asap and get sorted. Don't worry about meds they are there to keep you safer. I am on meds for blood pressure, anti depresents, pain relief as well as insulin. If you continue running high you may have to go on insulin. Insulin is easier to control your levels because if you use a fast acting insulin just 1 unit will bring the level down by 33. I use the old system as its easier. 77 is 9.2 normal folks are about 4.5 increasing to 7 after food then back to 4.5. 9.2 is close to renal threshold, by this i mean once you go beyhond 10 or in your case 86 this is when your kidneys start to have trouble which over time could lead to kidney failure. So there's 3 reasons to get on top of it. I wish you luck and hope you can sort things, in the meantime stick to carbs that breakdown slowly, rice, potatoes, eat lots of veg as almost all are carb free. avoid anything thats sweet and more than 20 grams of carbs at meal times. try this for a week when you have a meter.
Breakfast 40g
mid morn 10g
Lunch 60g
mid after 10g
Eve meal 60
pre bed 10g
I understand it isn't a lot of carbs a day but it's meant to make you eat more carb free stuff but it may help you get to good levels, if you find you still cant lower your levels get to the Dr's. If you try it out and need any further help just message me. You could start by say your mid meal test if it is a bit high don't have the mid meal carbs. it's a trial and error thing but worth a try.

This is probably one of those stupid questions, but....... is there any sugar in eliquids?

I ask the question because after having a diabetic check up my Hb1Ac has skyrocketed to 77 over the last few months.
And just reading stuff, it's pretty clear that sweeter liquids tend to gunk up tanks more.
It's just weird in my eyes as I've somehow lost about a stone in the last year, and you would expect this reading to be a bit lower than previous readings as well as they kinda go hand-in-hand, and my diet hasn't regressed to any much of an extent really. so just kinda wondering if juice might have made a difference and if I should rethink what types of juice I should use
I'm type 1 and not had any issue with vaping and I do like the sweet and fruity variety. It is said that it can raise bloods up to 34% but from not vaping for a month after being diagnosed in June till now I've not noticed any change

wow, that's more than I thought, thanks for that... I suppose it's not as much as it seems, if you use something with 10% fructose in it .... at 2% in a mix then it's only 0.2% of a bottle.
