LOL Mark, no need to apologise m8 . As stated, I appreciate your input. You're clearly a good source of knowledge in this area, which is very useful . Incidentally, (I'm on my laptop at the moment), but my original post was made on an Android tablet which is also a new gadget, are youtube links to a video viewed from an Android tablet different to the link for PC/MAC? Or, is it just an issue with Ipad's not liking HTML5 perhaps?

I've just found some of the "passthrough batteries" Izzy mentioned, bit pricy, but they certainly look as if they could be handy. Might try one out. Thanks again for your posts and replies .

It was down to tapatalk on the ipad as the link was going straight to home screen of you tube, when I switched to dolphin and went through the web view the linked worked fine
