I know 100% that mine aren't fakes.

Those are definitely fakes. AW batteries do not have those marks on them.

Yes Tubby, that one is genuine.

If you look to the right of the W around the border you'll see a little < shaped notch in the black background. This coupled with the non coloured in recycle symbol is how you tell if they're genuine. Fakes don't have the notch and have black recycle symbol.

Older AW's may have solid black symbols and still have the little notch but it's the newer ones that combine both. If they don't have the notch, they're fake.

All this information came from another well known, exceptionally well trusted forum thread (Not UKV) and can be found here.

Which pisses me off because I think quite a few of my AW's, all except my 18500's in fact are fake.

So you have been using your fakes with no problem? Are they safe or is it just poor discharge rates. People selling these must me money orientated and don't care for safety. The thing is these battery's are around £10 aswell and if there fake that's not cricket when you don't know what they are and if brought with the intention off using with sub ohms

Look closely at the AW sticker, is there a teeny tiny triangle missing. Yours looks like mine which is not a fake.

Erm... I'm gonna say no, but I'm not 100% sure what I'm looking for if I'm honest. I'm dense when I've had so little sleep (not that I'm exactly Mensa material when well rested either)

AW's are more of an orangy reddish colour than Red say...like an EFEST
