Just picked one of these up and I dont think it's ever been upgraded. Do the firmware updates add ss to temp control? Is it easy to do? Thanks in advance

Not as such, but it does add a manual TCR feature which will allow you to use any TC wire. Updating firmware isn't too difficult, you'll need to download the Updater tool from the YiHi website, then run it, connect the device, then get the update tool to connect to the mod (You need to set the mod to link), update the Firmware then disconnect and pull the battery from the mod - once you put the battery back it will be all done. I'm pretty sure there'll be Youtube Tutorials for it...
