Picked myself a taifun gt2 clone from desire a few days ago. It's the 304 stainless version and the build quality is fantastic. The problem is I'm struggling to get on with it with regards to flavour. I had the original taifun and always thought the flavour was brilliant, much better then the kayfuns etc, so I was happy when my GT2 arrived. Popped a 28awg 7 rap micro in running at 1.3ish ohms, wicked with muji. Vapes well except flavour just isn't there, strangely I seem to get more flavour lung hitting with the airflow fully open. The problem there is I'm not a lung hitter, I much prefer mouth to lung and as you know you generally get more flavour with a tighter draw. It's wierd, I'm possibly putting it down to the increased airflow tube size so I'm going to decrease its size a bit later with some ss mesh or something. Any thoughts? I really want to get on with it as its a cracking atty but I'm all about the flavour so I'm hoping to get it working right.

You need MrTeaTime

He is in love with his two :)

I have the airflow closed completely and just use the air from the 510......i have a 1.4 ohm build in my pukka one and its amazing....

Ive have a .90 ohm build in the clone and i have the air hole virtually shut with one of the holes half open.....

One thing i have found is the amount of cotton i use....and the placing of the coil.....i have the coil positioned as low to the air hole as possible and use as little cotton as i can.....you should have no resistence to pulling the cotton through your coil at all......also, i have about 2mm hanging out of the ends too.....

And another thing ive found it screwing the top on the top section needs to be "just so" and not down to tight....you should still be able to move the cotton side to side with he cap on.....if you cant then ts to tight...

Cheers dude, I'll finish this tank off and try and apply some of your suggestions. I've got the coil about 4mm above so I could defiantly lower that a little. I'll keep plugging away at it, I've always been a fan of the original taifun so I'm going to give it a damn good go, hopefully persistence and a little guidance will get me where I want to be with it.
