After 1 beautiful month off the fags and loving vaping and all the benefits that go with it I am looking at stepping it up a bit.

I am currently using an eGo twist with a EVOD and have been practising my coils but I have not got an ohms checker, they work but I won't be 100% convinced until I can check them properly. Which leads me to my query. Despite being happy with my current setup I am starting to catch shinyitus and CANNOT stop looking for my next device. Without wanting to take the leap into mech mods I have been looking at VV mods with a bigger capacity glass tank on top, but which to go for?

I am between the SVD, SID and Vamo V5 to go with either a Protank, Davide BCC or Viva Nova. Will I notice enough of a difference in my vape to make this worth while or shall I keep trying out new juices? I would like an ohms checker and don't see the point in buying one if I can have the function built into a mod.

I have been looking on FT (I know, I know) and don't mind waiting for postage just as long as it turns up eventually and works when it arrives. Should they be trusted or should I just but from a UK supplier and pay some more?

Sorry for the questions which I'm sure have been asked a hundred times already on this forum but I value the opinion of the members of this forum and have read some very helpful advice so thought I'd give it a shot. Many thanks.

Hey - I'm a month off the smokes so maybe I can offer an opinion.

You will notice a difference, a big difference if you upgrade to a mod such as a Vamo, SVD etc. I have a Vamo and it just feels 'right' in my hand - others will probably say the same about their mods.

I also have both a Pro Tank II and a Davide Aspire - again, both are really good, the Davide is possibly just ahead.

But, and here's the weird thing - I got a dripper on Monday - where are we now? Thursday so three full days ago - gotta say its bloody magic! In anticipation of getting the dripper I bought a selection of juices to try - the dripper is a faff and it confused me to start with but two, three days in I love it - I can change juice in an instant, the throat hit is way better than anything else I have used and I enjoy the coiling side and thinking about the coil I want to try next - that's not like me at all.

I reckon you should get the mod of your choice and explore that with your evod.

Then when you're feeling comfortable go explore what else could sit on top of it.

That help?

Cheers

I have the SVD and vamo v5. Both are good, both have built in ohm checker, I run both protanks and davide maxi on then. The SVD seems to have a slight edge on performance, for me. But the vamo fits the hand better, (for me). Don't know about the SID.
The davide BCC is my next move up.

I have svd and vamo v5. I too would recommend both but would rate the svd just ahead (but its a very close call). I have a pro tank 2 which i hate, others love them but i have had enough of it to be fair. I have evods which i used all day long with no issue and love them and i also have a fogger v2. As said above.... get the mod then use your evods and then move to new things from there. Im thinking about the davide bcc as im looking for a bigger tank for all day. Im also looking to get a dripper very very soon. :)

i`m in exactly the same position. (3 months now) I went for a Vamo 5 and Evods which I am loving. I bought an adaptor just in case and they all work great. You will notice a bigger vape but its not life changing. Glad I didnt pull the trigger on the Provari I was looking at. Ego spinner or twist are so much easier to slp in the pocket etc etc

Thanks for the advice guys. Think I'll look closer at which mod to go for first and use my EVODs with it to begin. I'll just be using it at home for evening vapes with a beer or two and using my twist when I go out although that might change if it is that much better! Just need to find myself some helpful comparisons or YouTube reviews to keep me entertained tonight.

Think I'm leaning towards an SVD with a Davide eventually. Never even considered a dripper but I'll defo look into it. Thanks.

When using the evod on the VAMO or SVD, take the top ring off first. I found out the hard way. Was merrily undoing the evod, and it undid at the base instead of the mod. So advise top ring off to get at base of evod properly. (I think that makes sense.)

I upgraded to an SVD with Davide BDC after a month. Also got a dripper the other day and its fantastic, IGO L, can't fault it at the moment but no doubt will move on to something else soon, I find it great for getting used to making coils and wicks and is great for testing DIY juices. Even better with cotton wicks. And to change is dead easy, pull out cotton, dry burn, insert new cotton, drip and vape.

Like the davide tanks but haven't tried an others so can't give a comparison, all I know is they work for me with the SVD.
