I am new to vaping and looking to get the vaporesso polar. What tank should I get for the mod. I recently quit smoking, so I am looking for a tank that would provide a decent throat hit, and if possible, one that provides flavour rather than vapor

what style of vapour are you? I’m guessing if you want flavour rather than vapour you are mtl?

I am not too familiar with the terminology, but from my understanding, I should be looking gor an MTL tank

Ok well the vaporesso polar is really for people who want to vape at higher watts (direct lung) but as you’ll be vaping mtl then you’re only going to be needing something that goes Upto 80 watts. You’ll be vaping at 10-18 watts normally. You can use the polar as it will drop as low as you want but it’s a bit of overkill for your needs.

I’d look at the Innokin zenith tank, the nautilus and the new zlide .

If you like the vaporesso then perhaps look at the smaller mods they do also.

Hi @K.O.E. and welcome to the planet.

the polar is a great kit which already comes with a nrg tank but that needs a good 40-80watts to get it going as it is a pure sub ohm direct to lung tank for clouds.
£34 for the full kit is the cheapest you will find in the uk https://www.cloudstix.com/electroni...-vaping-kits/vaporesso-polar-kit-wholesale-uk
usually just buying the mod (battery) on its own is dearer than that.

you could always buy the kit and put the nrg tank aside for a few months and also buy a mouth to lung tank at 10-14watts but as said it is a bit overkill as it is a 220watt mod.

a smaller kit is the armour pro. 100w single 18650 or 21700 battery mod but once again with a subohm tank. like above you could get a mouth to lung tank and run it on this. https://www.cloudstix.com/electronic-cigarettes/advanced-vaping-kits/vaporesso-armour-pro-uk

one quick question.
how long did you smoke for and how many a day. it will help us work out what nicotine strength you need.

subohm tanks are best with low 3mg nic but mouth to lung tanks can go upto 18mg

I smoked for 11 years and about a pack a day. A friend of mine had the armour pro, but gave it away because it got too hot

as you are after a mouth to lung tank it uses much lower wattage with average 10-14watts so that wont even get the mod warm let alone hot. i run mine at 60w at work and chain vape for 20-30 minutes on breaks and mine doesnt get warm but of course the higher you go the warmer it will get.

just re read your post and im guessing that as you have already stopped smoking then you wont need high nicotine like 12-18mg which is best to ween people off the cigs.
3-6mg would be plenty.

as Discomatt said above these are worth a look "I’d look at the Innokin zenith tank, the nautilus and the new zlide" .
check the inokin videos here https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=Innokin+zenith+tank

I will reconsider the armour pro then. If I do get the armour, I won't have to buy an mtl tank ?

The armour pro will just be the mod only so you will need a tank for it unless you get the armour pro kit. However that tank is for DL.

Tanks and mods are not exclusive. You can mix and match what ever you like to a certain extent if you’re going down the mtl route.
