I have a smok majesty mod and I've never had a problem with it but now it says that the temp is too high when I can clearly tell that it isn't. how do I fix this?
I never use TC mode except on RDA's for squonking where it's really useful, dial in the right temp and wattage boost for you and no dry hits, what's not to like?
"Temp too high" is probably a warning message from the mod that the internal board temperature is too high, not that you're in TC mode. It's your mod telling you something is wrong. If possible, and you're confident enough, strip it down and clean everything and check for any faulty wires etc. otherwise it's probably time for the bin.
Don't go stripping anything and sure as hell don't go throwing anything in the bin.
"Temp too high" is the message displayed when your coil reaches the temperature that you've set and the cut off engages. It's the ENTIRE point of temp control feature. You set the maximum temperature for the coil so as to avoid dry hits and the mod stops you going over that temperature The "Temp too high" message means that your mod is doing its job correctly.
Your problem is it's doing a job you appear to have asked it to do by mistake.
