I have a smok majesty mod and I've never had a problem with it but now it says that the temp is too high when I can clearly tell that it isn't. how do I fix this?

You've obviously put it into temp mode. Is that intentional? If not put it back into power mode. Otherwise increase the temp setting.

I know some people love it, but I have never got on with temp control for the same reason.

As above i'm a happy wattage vaper, never got on with TC mode.

It does sound like you are in TC mode with a stock coil, 3 clicks on your fire bar and navigate to power mode and set it to Wattage or VW.

I never use TC mode except on RDA's for squonking where it's really useful, dial in the right temp and wattage boost for you and no dry hits, what's not to like?

"Temp too high" is probably a warning message from the mod that the internal board temperature is too high, not that you're in TC mode. It's your mod telling you something is wrong. If possible, and you're confident enough, strip it down and clean everything and check for any faulty wires etc. otherwise it's probably time for the bin.

The lack of dynamics in the puff. I like the gradual build up you get with power mode. You don’t get dry hits anyway because you get to know when it needs squonked.

Don't go stripping anything and sure as hell don't go throwing anything in the bin unless you know for a fact that your mod is faulty.

IMHO.....

"Temp too high" is the message displayed when your coil reaches the temperature that you've set and the cut off engages. It's the entire point of the temp control feature. You set the maximum temperature for the coil so as to avoid dry hits and the mod stops you going over that temperature. The "Temp too high" message means that your mod is doing its job correctly.

Your problem is it's doing a job you appear to have asked it to do by mistake.

It's probably a stupid question (as we are talking about Smok) but why would it say 'temp too high' when it's at the exact temp you have it set too? ..... wouldn't it say "temp reached" or "Temp just right" ?
