Help please I have just got a tesla and coupled to a vivi nova, 2 problems I have bought button top 18650 protected batteries which appear to be a couple of mms too long and although the bottom screws up its not fully in should I be using flat tops?
Secondly the nova doesn't seem to work with it but it works fine on my vamo v4 when I try to use them together the tesla displays HHHHHH any ideas?

not sure what a tesla is. (mech mod ?) as for the battery it seems flat top will fit if the buttons are to long. also if your device is a mech mod you want to be using imr unprotected batteries

First off, dont use protected batteries in a regulated mod - the protection circuit isnt needed and just adds length to the battery. Second HHH usually indicates that the atomiser resistance is too high (But check the handbook) in which case your atomiser isnt screwed in enough or isnt connecting to the centre pin of the 510 connector...

Never mind.. Tubbyengineer looks to have the answer for you.

hello romeo13
i also use a tesla (they are a very good mod) with button top batts. as tubbyengineer says you dont need protected batteries and they will add mms to the length. i use mine with a protank and havent had no problems . i will try it with a couple of vivis tomorrow and get back to you on performance. but i do know that when i was using ego type batteries with my vivis it was hit and miss which batteries they would work on from one day to the next. have you tried a different tank?

I haven't no vivi nova's were about as serious as i got with the tanks although i think its time to move on but there are so many out there, i want to start rebuilding too i have bought 2mm silica wick and the kanthal wire but havent attempted a rebuild yet, what rebuildable tanks would you recommend?

as rebuildables go i havent a clue as i am just about ready to start myself.
i have been pointed in the direction of an igo w so i am going to order one of those next week. but someone will come along later and help you out with this.
i can't try my vivis as both seem to need new coils so i will get a couple and try them.
did you buy the whole kit or just the mod? i got the complete kit and it came with 2 batteries a charger and a protank clone.which was lucky as my protank wouldn't work when fully screwed down as the bottom was too small and blocked the air vents so changed it for the clone one and its a great vape. i loved the vivis before i got my protankbut now wouldn't go back to them.

You can rewick and recoil a vivi nova, it's pretty easy, plenty of vids on YouTube.
