Talking about what I just ordered from chefs... has anyone tried this 007 cola?

It's supposed to taste like a really good cola, oddly. ........ I had most of it already, I just needed the VT sherbet and the FW Blood Orange.

No, and I probably never will, I rarely do fizzy drinks. Having said that, a company sent me a freebie energy drink shortfill, with an order and when I tried it, it was good, but sickly, I still caned it though :18:

Cola is about the only thing I like other than tobacco, I'm looking forward to trying the FLV Root Beer too which is also supposed to be good.

Native will gain strength and potency, over time, it's far more challenging to me, than the classic or commercial. It's a bully of a flavour, do not underestimate it. Needs 4-8 weeks steep imo, but, most of the flv pack need that - in reality.

People on ELR say this one will mellow, not sure about that, tbh :hmm: Native is not new to me, there is no mystery, it could fuck you up.

it tastes a bit more palatable this morning tbf. a couple of them have that unpleasant thing from classic cig and i think it might be that whatever that is they add as an ingredient in some of the ones that are supposed to taste like tobacco blends.

i’m not sure about a steep, i don’t think any of the ones i’ve tried “need” a steep, in as much as they taste decent when just mixed and are safely puffable without any adverse tastes. the first ones i mixed have changed a bit over that time, but only a bit, not drastically different.

i think even a steep can’t redeem classic cig for me, commercial might be useable for blending, all the others have tasted decent to good after a shake and have maybe developed a bit i.e. smoothed out or deepened in flavour.

i will see with native, could be it will improve. in theory i should like it. i also maybe went too strong at 0.5.

i’m not sure about a steep

Personal preferences, the standalone testers I made haven't really changed with a steep, but the blends have, and will continue to mutate :18:

Apart from the Arabian, which I'm not keen on (yet), the devil in the pack is Classic cig, I think it has to be used like FA Black Fire, in a very minimal way. Pucker is useless, I don't know what that is meant to be, mint or something. Kentucky is the shining star, I've ordered some more of that :D

mint or something

if it tastes a bit minty by itself then i’m sure it’s the same stuff as inw dark tobacco. try a 30ml tester with RB or cured and add 1 drop of pucker. it changes other flavours. it is interesting, but a bastard to use in a blend of more than one or two because you can’t be sure what it will do. stay away from sweet flavours with it, only really works with dryish tobaccos in my experience. the minty flavour disappears in a blend.

FA ozone is along the same lines but doesn’t really have the mint if you mix it itself. it tastes a bit grassy.

Thanks, that's good to know, I hate mint or menthol in baccy blends, it's unvapable to me, I start raging up :18:

Inawera Flue Cured is minty, very minty, yet no else ever says that. I even bought it from two different places and both were the same :11: One that never gets mentioned is Inawera Black Jack Tobacco, fabulous, but it's very anti social (even with just a drop or two in a 30ml blend), it smells like rancid piss, when vaping it, hence I rarely use it.

if it’s like dark tobacco the mintiness will disappear completely in a blend. it s very strange stuff.

aye, black jack is a cracker. the tobacco base is similar to the inw fruit tobaccos (pear, plum, strawberry etc. tobacco). a nice hefty and funky tobacco dunt. i’ve always thought they must have a concentrate that is just that base on it’s own, but never been able to find out.

I've used inw dark tobacco before, I didn't like it, not sure if I still have it, it would be six years old now.

i had the same experience then did some digging about it because it seemed so strange, i think i found a lot of info on reddit, which also mentioned ozone, then it all made sense.

it’s interesting, but too complicated for me to be bothered. i like mixing to be a simple and straightforward thing. messing about making wee testers to see what it does to specific flavours is a bit too much hassle.
