Review The Hcigar Kayfun 3.1 from Vape Geek

@Mawsley, another great review, however a bit muted. I missed the usual tongue in cheek humour that normally accompanies your reviews. I look forward to your next review with baited breath.

Yep.

It was the first and only time I tried to be a bit more serious and it failed miserably. I didn't enjoy writing it as much and I think it reads like a pile of crap.

I'm working on one comparing the £105 J2P Pisces to the £10.50 FastTech Pisces clone, then there's the Gamma tank, the Omega clone, the MCV Biomech Gen.2, the Chris Creations Fatty V3 versus the FastTech Fatty V3 clone, the Bliss atomiser, the Fogger V2 versus the Fogger V3, the Hcigar Taifun GT and GS...it's finding the time to do them now I'm doing more writing for other people.

And I need to do more stupid things to inlcude as anecdotes - that bit's easy :D

Looking forward to them all, as are a lot of other members!

Does anyone has an HCigar Nemesis to go with it? The Kayfun doesn't seem to screw all the way down, leaving a small gap between mod and RTA. Is that normal? Seems to be a fairly long 510 stub on the kayfun.

I've got a chimney coil setup with cotton, but finding the cotton isn't wicking particularly well, it just doesn't seem to keep up. Coil is only 1.9ohms so not too taxing, and juice is 60PG/40VG. Anyone experienced this before? Only used silica before and never had this issue. Could it be I am blocking the juice channels?

I have a fasttech nemesis so presume they are nigh on the same - I first screw the atty down onto the nem top connector, then screw in the nemesis positive conector, put my battery in, then screw in the switch in the bottom. This way I have no gap. (sorry if I've misunderstood).

Regarding the juice channels, I've never had a problem but only had silica in my kayfun, but I have seen others say that covering the juice channels can impede the wicks saturating.

Its normal for that tiny gap, if you managed to screw the Atty completely flush the air control ring would not spin :)

If you look close, the nemesis 510 is slightly raised above the air control ring.

Excellent, thanks for the response, I'll stop worrying about having a badly threaded mod!

Managed to get a decent wicking setup with the cotton on the chimney now as well, only rare dry hits after chain and a couple of primer puffs sorts it right out. Not as impressed with the flavour from the chimney as i had hoped, will have to try a double barrel next, unless anyone has some better suggestions!

Oh thanks a lot, now I have to spend more money and get one of these beauties. I love you but my wallet hates you :)
