What's new

The Mail and e-cigarettes

I fear it will be short lived until some negativity arises and they will be the first to publish a biased uninformative ludicrous article about e cigs and campaign to get them banned under the guise of 'OMG WILL SOME BODY PLEASE THINK OF THE CHILDREN'

The thing is, the Mail love talking the opposite stance to anything the EU says that will affect the UK. So I think this is less a sensible article with the correct motivation, more 'OMG look what the Europrats want to do that affects us now.'

Except that it was the MEPs in the European Parliament who voted to keep e-cigs as consumer products (for now, at least), while the UK government, the BMA, and MHRA, are the ones who are banging on about making them medicinal.

Yeah that's true. Actually I've decided I don't really care what their motivation is, I bet it's not the same as mine but when they say 'petty bureaucrats' they've got a point.

I wouldn't be surprised if they've changed their stance because celebrities are using e-cigs and the Mail bows at the alter of celebrity. Cara Delevigne's doing it? We like her, it must be ok then! :D

Our Government are a disgrace.. Anything that gives them more money in their pockets is in their best interest. I wish for once we could have a political party in charge that actually cared about what the inhabitants of it's own country want, rather than doing things just to go against the opposition and ensure a cushty pension.

And if they spot a Kardashian using one, they'll be positively ecstatic. "See our special report on pages 4 to 24......"

Haha! The Kardashians and Miley Cyrus, preferably with tongue out and some sort of twerking going on. Now THAT'S DM gold dust!
