hi, I just received my long awaited Raptor from Vapourworld.
First of all this thing is huge! It can hold 6 ml of E liquid , however with its design it does not look overly large.
It produces great vapour and good flavour although a bit muted, but not much of a throat hit although my liquid is 11mg. Maybe when I refill it which in my case will be about three months! The throat it may improve.
it comes with an adapter which fits on to and ego and this makes the whole unit look pretty good on it. I have attached some pictures which shows the size comparison prepared to the Stardust and the Viva Nova. I tried Vaping at 4.8 but got a burnt taste and loaded down to 4.6 which seems to be okay, again this may improve over time.

However when I tried to use my ego to 510 adapter this thread on the Raptor does not work. I telephoned Vapourworld and spoke to the chap who designed it, he said there are various ego adapters each may have a different thread because they made by different manufacturers, is he right on this? Because I do not want to spend money on another adapter if I get the same result. He told me he tried it on various adapters and it works. However he said he will be making an adapter especially for the Raptor which will be sent out in the kit however this does not help me in the meantime.

Another thing which confuses me is that on the Vapourworld website:Vapourworld

it is described as an Atomiser tank, however if you look at the picture with the wicks can this be described as an Atomiser?and the picture does not look like the real thing.

Overall impressions of this device is good apart from the two questions which I have rated this review, looking forward to see what you lot think about it.

I don't know about the techie stuff, but that looks cool. It looks like something from a b movie-it should make bubbles in the juice as you vape!

That looks like one of Thomas Edison's first attempts. Would look very steampunk in a brass colour.

Gotta agree it does look cool. I would guess that it makes an ego battery really top heavy though? I wonder how often they will take being knocked over?
Cheers,
DocVape

Seem pretty rugged and picked it up this morning (GLV having been laid down on one and the one on the eGo Twist having been stood up) and both vaped with dry hits ;)

Rugged is what is needed. Too many of these clearos fail to stand up to a bit of pocket wear and tear...Cheers,DocVape

I would think he meant the center pin on the ego-510 adapter...the threads shouldnt affect the connection, it will be the center pin.

I am going to send my back. Doesn't work with an ego - 510 adapter, the thread doesn't work, and it now does not work on my ego. I rang them on the day I got it and spoke to the designer and warned him of this issue, but appeared to be dismissive  although he did offer me a refund.

Paula is brilliant and would recommend Vapourworld to any one, but the designer did not heed my warning. This is a good piece of kit, it also leaks so it needs a little work on: the threads and leaking, then she is on a winner, so regretfully I can not recommend this (yet). But soon as the improvements are made I will be first in the queue!

Think it does depend on the 510-eGo adapter - was keen on me one from one vendor (can't remember whom) but has been fine with the ones i had from Liberty Flights.

If it doesn't sit right it may cause a drop or 2 of juice to escape via the centre pin -

I spoke to the designer and he suggested that they have a Special 'Raptor Adaptor' due in that would be offered free of charge to current Raptor owners and form part of the kit for new purchases once it arrives;)
