The state of E-cigs in Canada!

E-cigs are gaining popularity in Canada despite its ban in the country. Hammond, a tobacco control researcher, conducted a study where he found that there is high awareness of the products among Canadian smokers. The tobacco control advocates are of the opinion that e-cigs could potentially help a fair number of people however they are also worried that since e-cigs deliver nicotine therefore it can perpetuate addictions in the current smokers. Mention may be made that even though e-cigs are banned in Canada, but “e-cigs that does not contain nicotine and does not make health claims do not come under Food and Drug Act, Canada” and therefore they can be sold in Canada.
